T is also for Twix Cookies (Jessica)

Hello again!

Somehow this week I found the time to do another T recipe. No frills here, this is just a simple cookie with a chopped Twix bar mixed in to the dough. Did I mention yet how much I love Twix? It's definitely my favorite candy bar and has been since I was a kid.

Now, if you've ever had braces, surely you know: no caramel!

Yeah, right.

So for the 4 years I had braces as a kid it just meant I had to be sneakier about eating Twix. Shhh, don't tell my parents. :)

Twix Cookies
from this Sprinkled with Flour recipe and this Sprinked with Flour recipe put together

Ingedients:
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2  cups all purpose flour
1  cup quick-cooking oats
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 Twix bar (or 2), chopped into coarse pieces

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugars together until creamy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until blended.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
4. Add flour mixture to butter/sugar mixture until combined. Stir in Twix.
5. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto parchment-paper-covered baking sheet and bake 8-12 minutes.
6. Let cool for 1 minute on baking sheet before transferring to cooling rack.

Review:
Yum. I knew I would like these before I finished making them and they did not disappoint! If you like the candy bar, you'll like these cookies. I was so excited about them I wanted to share the recipe, I hope you get the chance to try it out!

Ta ta for now,

-Jessica
